Warren Road Primary Isle of Wight trip 2017
Dear Year 6 Parents/Guardians,
As the trip to the Isle of Wight is rapidly approaching, we are writing this letter to give you further information and details regarding the two trips.
Firstly, if you haven’t made your final payment, please do this as soon as possible as we need to pay for the last few activities before we go.
Please return the two medical forms given out before Easter as soon as possible. Details such as dosage and time of medication is required as is dietary requirements. We need this information to set up medical schedules and to inform the hotel of dietary/medical needs before we go.
If you child requires medication (which should be on the medical form), please could this be labelled with your child’s name and handed to the class teacher before the children go or to Miss Folkes or Mrs Stones the morning the children leave. 6M & 6S will be going the first week (15/5/17); 6H & 6PT will be going the week after (22/5/17). Any letters for the children you would like handed out could also be given in here.
We will be departing from School at 8:00am sharp so children will need to be in school by 7:30am. Children will meet in the Davis Hall and their suitcase needs to be taken to the coach, which will be parked on Cloonmore Avenue. Please do not accompany your children into the hall – say your goodbyes on the playground – this makes it easier for us to count and organise the children. It is your responsibility to ensure that your child’s suitcase, which is clearly labelled with their name, is on the coach. When we are ready to leave, we will bring the children up to the coach via the playground. We would appreciate it if you could make sure our route to the coach is clear, although we would love you all to stay and wave us off.
For both weeks, we aim to be back at school by 2.30pm. If we are delayed we will make every effort to avoid the end of the school day and any change in arrival times will be on Twitter, the school hotline (08447707576 school ID number 46769) and on the website. You can follow both weeks on Twitter and the website, where we will post pictures and comments. However, due to the poor network coverage on the Isle of Wight, this is not always possible.
Contacting Your Children
Children will not be allowed to take their mobile phones on School Journey. In the event of an emergency, please ring the school as they have all the adult mobile phone numbers and will get in touch with the group leader. Please do not ring the hotel.
This has been included in your payment schedule. Each child has been allocated £15.00 for the trip; please do not send in additional money with your child.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Miss Palmer & Mr. Thomas
