On Tuesday 14 June, three talented people from the Hobgoblin Theatre Company, came to perform a show to Year 4. The show was loud, amusing and an action-packed ‘Who done it’. They taught as all about Ancient Egypt (our history topic) and we learnt lots of new facts. For example they used to weigh people’s hearts compared to the feather of truth ? if the heart was heavier, Anubis (God of the underworld) ate it and they could not go to Duat (heaven). Also, we took part in a drama workshop session with them, during which we pretended we were balls of clay and moulded ourselves into statues of ancient gods and freeze frame pictures telling stories about them. We also practised different body movements and facial expressions. It was an amazing day ! By Alaa Shamekh (4G).
