We met in the hall. We then walked out of the school. On the walk we saw lots of houses on the way to the train station. When we finally got there a worker told us about train safety. Finally we got to the station in London. Then we walked to Hamleys, I felt really excited. The walk was one mile long. Outside the shop Mr Thomas spoke to us about the day.

Inside we had to go on the elevator to the 5th floor. Lego was on the top floor and there were statues of the royal family made of Lego. Then we went to the 4th floor and we saw helicopters flying around and a remote control car that drives on the wall.
Then we looked on the 3rd floor, we skipped the 2nd and 1st floor and on the ground floor we saw lots of cuddly toys. As we walked around we had to think about things we could see, hear smell and our feelings. We were going to use these to write a poem.

We were then told by a lady who worked at Hamleys that we could eat our lunch in the party room. When we finished, we had a final look around. Then we walked all the way back to Charing Cross station. We boarded a train and left the station and back to Orpington. After we got off the train we went back to school to do some writing. We wrote a poem about our day at Hamleys. We had to focus on adjectives, objects and verbs or similes for our poem. Then we went home.
